the 514 House

The 514 House, located in China Spring, Texas, is a life-long dream of a 5 year old girl.  Emily has dreamed of having her “own school” since beginning Kindergarten at Viking Hills Elementary, with her Kindergarten Teacher, Claire Moore, being her biggest influence.  Emily is compassionate and encouraging to everyone she knows, and has a desire to see others excel in their gifts and talents, and truly be all Christ created them to be.

Emily has fervently continued her education all while teaching fulltime, tutoring students, and also coaching Cross Country and Track for the past four years. 

Her student teaching was done at Red Oak ISD, and she graduated in 2019.  She returned to Waco and was hired by China Spring ISD.  By Spring Break that year, a HUGE curve was thrown into teaching, as teachers and students experienced teaching/learning via “ZOOM.”  After that, she taught at Valor Preparatory from 2020-2023. Emily was so encouraged by what she learned while at Valor. 

At the beginning of 2023, we began discussing what it would look like to start a small, in-home school, where students would be supported in small-group learning both biblically and academically……thus…..THE 514 HOUSE was birthed!!

Enrollment is currently open for students to join us for the 2024-25 school year. We will be serving students age 4 years to 7th grade.
